In today’s article, we are going to tell you about those personalities who were brought up in very difficult times but even in difficult times they never gave up and hence today they are having the fruit of their efforts.
Yes, we are talking about Carolyn Bryant’s sons Roy Bryant & Lamar Bryant. Before talking about the Bryant brothers we would prefer to give you a brief intro about their family especially about their mother so you would understand better what incident became the source of Bryant’s fame.
Bryant’s Family & the Incident Which Puts the Family in Trouble:
The incident takes place at the shop where Lamar Bryant & Roy Bryant’s mother (Carlyn Bryant) used to work. The incident follows as a 14-year-old Black boy from Chicago named Emmett Till along with his friends stops at the store in which Carolyn used to work.

There happened a quarrel between them. Carolyn at first stopped his family members to tell about this incident to her husband Roy Bryant Sr. because she already knew to what extent he could go.
However, one of the children present at the shop at the time of the incident told Roy Sr. everything. Roy Sr. became angry and along with his stepbrother J.W. Milam kidnap and beat the boy until he died.
Both Milam and Roy Sr. got arrested and after a few days, they also accepted their crime. However, they couldn’t make it any longer, and hence one of them passed in 1980, and the other in 1994.
Both of them pass away after putting their family in trouble. However, Carolyn being a strong woman brought up her children so well that her children are remembered in good words.
However, the incident doesn’t let go the Bryant’s family even after years. But, the family never gave up holding each other’s hands in every difficult situation so that nobody even dared to harm them or hurt their feelings.
Roy Bryant Jr.:
Roy Bryant Jr. son of Carolyn and Bryant Sr. was born on June 12, 1952, in Indianola, Mississippi. Even after facing so many difficulties in the early years of life Bryant Jr. stood firm and continued his studies to rise to the occasion.
Not only in studies he also participated in a lot of extracurricular activities to maintain his school record. After his high school graduation to serve his country, he joined the U.S. Air Force.
After being financially settled he got married and had three children. Everything was going well in his life but a disease named cystic fibrosis made him suffer and became the cause of his death.
Unfortunately, on September 29, 1995, Roy Bryant Jr. passed away at the age of 43 leaving his loving family behind. However, no one can change fate. His current resting place is in Vinton, Louisiana’s Niblett’s Bluff Cemetery.
Lamar Bryant:
Lamar Thomas Bryant the younger brother of Roy Bryant Jr. was born in 1953 in Money, Mississippi. For Lamar his elder brother was an inspiration and hence he followed in his footsteps to be a successful man.
His following ended with being a US Air Force soldier. He also received an honorable discharge from the US because of serving his country honestly and bravely. After his retirement, he is working hard to support his family. Currently, he is residing in Raleigh, North Carolina along with his wife Marsha Holley Bryant.

Frank Lee Bryant & Carolann Bryant:
In addition to Lamar and Roy Bryant Jr. Carolyn and Roy Bryant Sr. have two more kid’s children named Frank Lee Bryant & Carolann Bryant. Frank Lee Bryant was born on born on November 19, 1956, and died on April 12, 2010, at the age of 53 due to heart failure.
His death was a great shock for his family especially for his mother Carolyn as she was so close to Frank Lee that he stood up for his mother, every time she needed him. Now, coming to the daughter of Carolyn it is coming to know that Carolyn daughter the only sister of Bryant’s brother was born in the year 1958 and had faced difficulties different from her other family members.
Carolann was born with a hearing disability. However, being a mother Carolyn did whatever she could do for her daughter. She taught her daughter sign language and got her daughter enrolled at Louisiana School for the Deaf to get her high school graduation degree. In the following years, Carolann found a man with whom she was head over heels in love and hence she married him. As of now, she is spending a beautiful life with her partner.
